Hey Keith,

Not sure if it will work with Rugged Notebook M220, but you might looke
into using a Keyspan 230 Kbps USB adaptor which works well on a IBM
Thinkpad with and RD Instruments RioGrande. Their URL is: www.keyspan.com

[Acoustics] pcmcia serial card adapters

We recently purchased a new Rugged Notebook M220 to use with our Sontek
Riversurveyor. It has only one serial port which seems to be the trend
these days. We usually plug our GPS receiver into a second serial port to
get more detailed data when working from a manned boat platform. We would
like to purchase a pcmcia serial card adapter for this laptop.

I thought I'd try to take advantage of everyone's experience with these.
With that in mind, can I get some recommendations on a reliable one? What
have been some pitfalls using these pcmcia cards?

Thanks,
