Hi Tony,
I think that simple is best, so here goes:
Use one 1 1/2" aluminum pipe, driven it into the bottom of the river to act
as the lower brace. Keep it as vertical as possible.
Sleeve over on 2" or less (for a tighter fit) PVC pipe and attach this
outside pipe to a Hollinger floor flange fitting. It has a bracket with
four holes to attach to the piling and two hex bolts that tighten to the PVC
pipe.
Attach another of the flanges to the bottom of the PVC or wherever you want
the SL elevation to be and use the four holes to attach to the SL base.
Just loosen the top hex bolts to slide the SL up or down to clean off the
heads of the SL.
These fittings cost about $20 each.
Good luck, Paul

I need to mount an Argonaut-SL current meter to a dock pier and I'm
looking for ideas on how to make the mount. If anyone has devised a
mounting system that works great in salt water environments, please send
me your ideas.
Thanks, Tony
