Troy,
If the M220 your referring to is made by GETAC. I've been using one for
about 4 months and so far it's worked for me, I haven't had a problem
hooking up to anything we own (RDI, SonTek, Hydrolab, Accusonic AVM's and
AFFRA's) but I think that has more to do with the IT setup. It's been
used out in the open during a couple heavy rain storm and so far it still
works you just need to turn it over and dump the water from the keyboard.
For field use the M220 works excellent and are fast compared to the older
ruggedized laptops also the one I ordered has the extra bright monitor, in
direct sunlight with polarized sunglasses the monitor is bright with no
blackout when you turn you head or look at the screen from a angle with or
without sunglasses. The one I have is used as a Desktop/Field computer
and I've been very happy with it so far, though it is a little heavy for
everyday carry around use.
