[Acoustics] OSW Technical Memo on Archiving and New Measurement Forms

Hi:

The USGS Office of Surface Water released a technical memorandum on 
archiving electronic discharge measurements at the end of September 
2005.  That memo can be found at

Other updates to that section of the Hydroacoustics Web pages 
(http://hydroacoustics.usgs.gov/policy/index.html) include new ADCP 
discharge measurement forms and examples of completed forms.  We 
recommend that USGS offices begin using the revised forms for 
discharge measurements as soon as is practical.  We will begin the 
process of making them available via GPO, but this requires a fair 
amount of lead time.  In the meantime, they can be printed locally at 
your USGS office.

Please review the example ADCP discharge measurement forms as we have 
noticed that personnel are not always certain what should be put in 
the various fields of the form.
