Our office is interested in trying an uplooking Argonaut-XR to look at
velocity characteristics in Devil's Lake to aid in the development of flow
model.

Devils Lake is a natural lake in northeastern North Dakota that has
reached its spill elevation for the first time in recorded history. The
proposed site is a 150 foot wide, 18 foot deep highway bridge opening that
separates East and West Devil's Lake. Velocities will range from small
wind driven negative velocities to +1.5 ft/s during run-off periods based
on ADCP measurements across this opening. We are interested in looking at
velocities through the water column providing a time-series of velocity
profiles at the site and we are not interested in computing discharge. We
would also like to operate it under ice this winter. Devil's Lake is
notorious for brutal conditions in the winter and will have 3-4 feet of
ice.

I would appreciate any advice or suggestions that anyone might have.

I am also looking for any good XR MultiCell data that I could playback in
ViewArgonaut to get a feel for the software.

Thanks,

Bill
