[Acoustics] Sontek Argonaut question

Kevin: You need some additional logic in the instrument assortment. I'm
assuming you have the Argonaut SW with the 0-5v analog out module. If it
were me, I would find a data logger with 0-5v measurement capability that
also has a digital port or switch closure output (like the Campbell CR-10 or
one of the Sutrons (actually almost any data logger would do!). You measure
the Argonaut analog output (for stage!), Scale the 0-5 volt analog output to
ft, then use an "if-then" logic block to check to see if the stage has
exceeded 1.0 feet and if so, turn on the sampler (via a switch closure or
control port to a relay). Once the Isco has been turned on, I think you
can program it to sample once per month. You could then just turn off the
Isco if the stage drops below 1.0 feet. If the Isco cannot be programmed
for one sample per month, you can turn off the sampler after one sample, do
a "z=z+1" in a data location, set a logical flag, and check the flag (say
once every 15 minutes). When z times your data logger cycle time is greater
or equal to 1 month then check the stage again and if above 1.0 feet,
trigger the sampler and reset the flag. There are also "if time" logic
blocks in almost any data logger.
The Isco sampler may have sdi-12 or other inputs depending on the model. It
certainly has switch closure inputs. I'm not sure you need the DGH current
output interface (whatever that is?)

Subject: [Acoustics] Sontek Argonaut question
I need some technical support with a Argonaut SW with analog output. I am
trying to use the analog output through a DGH current output interface to
control an
Isco sampler. When the stage reaches 1 ft. I want to kick on the sampler
and collect only on sample per month.
If you have any ideas or know someone to call please respond. I got this
equipment dumped on my desk and was told to make it work.
