Dear All,
The Environment Agency (England and Wales) is interested in evaluating
how the Sediview software marketed by DRLSoftware can be used with its
growing number of ADCP flow measurement sites to gather data on
suspended sediment loads and concentrations in rivers and estuaries in
England and Wales.
Accordingly, we are seeking feedback from any existing users of the
Sediview software for information that may help us to shape our
evaluation of the potential offered by this software.
See the website for details:
http://www.drl.com/sv1.html
Particular issues that we would be interested to get some feedback on
are:
Have any users compared how the Sediview data compares with suspended
sediment concentration data from other measurement techniques (e.g.
filtered samples or tubidity based measurements)?
How important is it to have good data on particle size and how does the
software cope with a change in particle size over time, as may happen
during a flood event?
What makes and models of ADCP equipment have users been able to use
Sediview with?
Any thoughts gratefully appreciated.
