[Acoustics] ADPs in USGS

Hi everybody
 
I am not a USGS member and I am new to hydroacoustics and its equipments. 
 
I have been surveying about ADP equipments recently and I learned from a power point presentation that I downloaded from the WEB that more than 90% of USGS ADPs are RDI and the rest are Sontek and Nortek.
 
I will be happy if you tell me about the background of this situation. Can you give me an overall comparison between RDI and Sontek ADPs in terms of precision, durability, price, after-sale support and ease of use?
