Lately we did an innovation project on the river Waal in the Netherlands.
There where problems with the angle of the transect.
We used a 600 kHz WH monitor, installed on the survey vessel Beyerinck.
Because this was constructed out of steel, we also used external heading
(TSS PosMV, satellitesystem).
The ADCP beam 3 misalignment was 45 degrees to starboard.
WinRiver 1.06 (international version) was used for datacollection.
The 45 degrees offset is filled in the compass area for beam 3 misalignment.
During processing we discovered that Winriver ignores this offset totally.
Also when data is converted to a standard ascii file, the beam3 misalignment
is ignored.
The "corrected ADCP heading" only contains heading from the compass,
magnetic variation and heading offset.
Here, winriver international version should be changed!
