[Acoustics] Sontek Flowtracker: Use in Tropical Climates

In Florida we have a lot of success with the Flowtracker. It's a good
instrument and is rugged enough for our humid/ often rainy weather.
 The only trouble you'll find is in water with too little suspended
sediment for a good acoustic signal reflection. Some people have been known
to stir up the sediment with a long rake or pole brush to get around this
problem.
