Bonjour Francois,
I and others have also noticed the difference between "in the field"
discharge and after office playback of the same data. The times I have
seen the difference, some of the screens did not update with each
ensemble, including the tabular discharge history. There were no lost
ensembles due to communication problems.

Subject: [Acoustics] RE: Divergence in data from field vs playback
Please note:
There were several replies from all around and it appears that many also
noticed the difference.
RDI would be interested to learn more about this issue but would need a
screen shot of live versus playback screens.
If you are in a situation to capture such screen shot during such
divergence, please forward it them so they can precisely determine the
reason.
Back in June, their WinRiver application programmer stated that without
some serious investigation they could not determine the exact cause for
the small difference.
It is possibly due to when the stop is received versus what the
application is doing at the time.
The display is lower on the priority scheme than other functions and maybe
some loop is terminated in the computation or some other reason.
The display may not be using the last ensemble.
This issue was not a big concern until observed to affect our significant
values...
With rivers icing up here, help from warmer climates would be appreciated
to provide RDI with the data needed to solve this riddle...
Thanks,
F.
