[Acoustics] FlowTracker averaging time

My name is Arran Corbett, I am a Hydrographer with the Queensland Dept. of Natural Resources and Mines in Australia. 

I recently received a FlowTracker unit from Sontek. I am testing the unit for suitability of use in our conditions. Part of my investigation is in to the possibility of reducing the averaging time for each sample in a measurement. 

I would appreciate anyone could provide any results\ data and your subsequent conclusions to assist in my research. 

All thoughts on this matter would also be very helpful.
