RD Instruments has developed a new float for the StreamPro that works
well in velocities up to two meters/second, which is the specified upper
velocity for the StreamPro. The new float has a small well in the hull
of the float in which the transducer may be located to reduce drag for
operation in higher velocities. An upgrade package including a new
float, transducer arm, and electronics housing is available from RD
Instruments.

If anyone has any questions, or would like me to email them a photo or
Quicktime video showing the new float operating on a 1.5 m/s (5 ft/s)
velocity river, please let me know.
