Tony,
We have been pleased with Pettit's Trinidad anti-fouling paint (75.8%
cuprous oxide).
http://www.pettitpaint.com/products2.asp?Productid=1&Catid=1&SubCatid=1
For a standard SL, this paint seems to work quite well. The Sontek manual
recommends Interlux Tri-Lux II. The manual also states, "On plastic
systems, any type of anti-fouling paint can be used." The way I understand
it is that the transducers and plastic housing of the SL will not be
damaged by various types of anti-fouling paint (Note: too much paint on the
tranducers will dampen the signal). However, units with metal housings
and/or urethane encapsulated (as opposed to epoxy) transducers should be
coated with altenative paints (see the manual).
Hope this helps,
John

I am planning to deploying an Argonaut SL at a coastal site. Does anyone
have any suggestions on which brand/type of antifouling paint to use?
Thanks in advance,
Tony
